Language is a virus, as William Burroughs said. It is also the only tool we have by which to communicate, other than signing, or physical gestures, which are quite handy when you're in an art gallery and tourists get in your way because you can use your elbows to communicate, or your feet by stamping on theirs ("Oh, I'm sorry!"). These aren't words; they are symbols which you're interpreting. perhaps you can see the subtext. perhaps there isn't one.
