Eyes Over...is Painting Over? Not by a long way, although judging by what's regarded as 'happening' contemporary art you might think otherwise. As we used to joke in the factory, 'I love work...I could watch someone doing it all day'...substitute 'work' for painting, although I couldn't watch someone painting all day. People love to do it, against the grain, almost. It's very much a non-contemporary activity undertaken by those who have no desire to be lauded as 'the next big thing'. Good on 'em. I used paint in the piece above...without getting a drop on my hands...
