A portrait, but of whom? The subject sat perfectly still...decades ago...captured in time by the lens...long since dead, presumably...an unknown sitter, or rather, known to me for the brief time in which I acquainted myself with his name before forgetting a few minutes later, once my 'portrait' was underway. Here he is reborn...reinvented in a way that renders him beyond recognition...a mutation of his former self...
