Collage: Your Own Belief

Collage for a divided country? Not with Brexit in mind, particularly (although it's hard not to have it on your mind if you live in the UK), I started making this, playing with ideas, trying out techniques (colours, print etc) and initially thinking any text would do since it would merely represent words coming out of the boy's backside, refuting theory, perhaps. But I came across a passage that I wanted to use. It's by the Greek Stoic philosopher, Epictetus, who was born a slave but freed by his Roman master. For some, leaving the E.U. will be a form of escape from enslavement, for others, a reckless leap from frying pan to fire. We shall see.
