You have mixed feelings?
You sometimes wish you could remix your life.
But should you do it? Imagine if you could appoint a producer...a sonic timelord, a god capable of taking your life so far and reconfiguring the original 'record' in such a way that it 'sounds' better...
Boost the bass, perhaps, for added weight. Add effects that bring it to life. Alter the speed a little?
Would it be a Disco remix? Or a Reggae dub version?
Perhaps your life is less like a 'perfectly' produced Steely Dan track and more akin to the raw, Scratchy, maverick genius of a great Lee Perry dub and looking back, it's even pressed a little off-centre, creating a woozy, drunken impression of what has happened so far...
