Concrete Poetry/Collage: Judgment / The critic inside

RTomens, 2018

Hello, you. Thanks for dropping by...I know how busy you are surfing...consuming all that essential information that will enhance your life somehow.

Three pieces derived from two fotos I took a couple of years ago, the precise nature of which must forever remain a secret until the day I'm interviewed by a top flight arts magazine, the audience of which matter far more than you, obviously, because they're readers of a top flight arts magazine, not just anybody surfing the Net. And the enquiring journalist is OBVIOUSLY more important than you because she/he writes for a top flight arts magazine.

'Judgment' (American spelling because that's how it was published although there's some debate as to whether an 'e' should always be added this side of the pond). Generally, I do trust my own 'judgment' regarding the art I make, occasionally consulting LJ. I know others for whom it seems difficult or, to put it another way, they seem wracked with doubts about their work. I rarely have a crisis of confidence, which is not to say I sail through all activity supremely sure of it's worth, just that in the battle between the Doubter inside and The Sure One, the latter usually wins. I make sure he wins because to not do so would lead to a total collapse of productivity...

...in this case I'm not sure about the success of the dark version above but it will do no harm to show it. I'm quite the fan of multiples and digital production encourages them. But it doesn't do to keep going for the sake of it. Often, the earlier, or earliest versions are/is the best. Judge for yourself. TTFN!
