Watched Death Rides A Horse the other night. I can't recall which came first, the collage above or the spaghetti Western...one influenced the other, probably. Anyway, Lee Van Cleef is always watchable, isn't he? Giulio Petroni does a pretty good directorial job. The opening scene featuring the appearance of the gang over the brow of a hill is especially good. It has all the hallmarks of a spag Western, including obligatory close-ups of eyes and even a musical countdown to a duel, made a bit special in by the hitting of piano keys before the triggers get squeezed. The dubbed voices always make spag Westerns odd by nature but the big bonus here is Ennio Morricone's soundtrack.
