Taking a break from typing...no...not really, but using letter print as an alternative....kind of relaxing, like drawing, but different...the simple act of dabbing a letter on the ink pad and printing it onto paper is...so satisfying. The idea came first, then the tune, naturally, although it could have been the other way around...but it wasn't. letter printing is, as William Burroughs said of cut-ups, something to do here and now, by which I think he meant just that...an easily accessible means of creating.
