Three geometric drawings: Untitled / The Lounge Lizards

Three drawings from the last couple of days. Are they...imprecise? You could say that. But when I draw I'm less concerned about precision than achieving satisfying results which, as you may have guessed, do not require precision.

Looking at Kazimir Malevich's paintings a few year back at the Tate Modern exhibition, what struck me was the imprecision of some. Small marks, slightly 'off'' joins, perhaps...all signalled the human hand at work. These days, it would be easy to create 'perfect' lines via the computer and, I confess, I have done so. But the results are far less pleasing than those from drawing by hand.

Back in the early-80s The Lounge Lizards were dubbed, or called themselves (I don't remember), 'Fake Jazz'. Perfect. Their very 'inauthenticity' rendered their music a sublime reimagining of Jazz, rewritten as an edgy, No Wave New York assimilation. You may call these Fake Constructivist/Suprematist drawings. Feel free.
