Book: The Wonder Book Of Electricity - Electricity for all!

What else would a bookseller do on his day off but go book-hunting? Please don't judge me. I'm always on the lookout for collage material, usually in the form of old photography books or simply books with old photos in them. Those aside, I naturally look for interesting fiction and lastly, nowadays, the unusual/interesting book. The Wonder Book Of Electricity ticks both the collage material box and the 'interesting' one.

There's always a slight hesitation in cutting up an old book (and magazines). I often have to push myself to slice through the paper, but the original material is always better than a copy. I've never been able to get good reproduction, colour-wise, although with a superior scanner/printer, you could.

I can only place this publication in the 30s, not having found a precise date anywhere. So we get a special kind of colour in the eight plates included. Some seem to have a shadow colour on them, which adds to their appeal. There's obviously a name for this but I don't know what it is.

Please don't try an 'electric foam bath at home'.
