Rescuing Vispo: Entropy

RTomens, 2021

A rescue operation...starting with the carbon marks, of course, then straight lines (lower case, blobby, because I've grown to like the blobby slugs!), followed by black xs to unify some lines, then dashes to hem in the lines followed by freeform os in the carbon box, then red xs to unify more and finally xs and os radiating from (or towards) the...'object' - do you object? It's proved very popular on the Facebook group, Concrete Formalist Poetry, to my surprise - well it goes to show, you can't predict popularity...you can't create an image and think 'They'll love this!' - but you can, only to be proved wrong. Entropy was all wrong for some time...by which I mean...it just didn't seem to be going right, which I put down to being a little rusty, not being able to type every day, as I used to, having a job nowadays. (no, I'm not complaining) so I sat and stared...I almost had to contemplate where it was going and if it was worth continuing with and that's just not on since I pride myself (someone has to) in steaming ahead, improvising, of course, and feeling my way through a piece of work towards a logical end without too much thought - ha! But this...this was just plain not happening until I said to myself  'Go ahead anyway' - so I did and it was the unification, creating shapes, which rescued it.

Ta-ta for now and...by the way...feel free to share this blog and help make me the most famous Vispo artist...in my street - PLEASE? :>)
