How to solve artistic debates? They're just as difficult. Who's better? Magritte or Dali? A friend mentioned that some of his friends regarded Dali more highly although you and I know it's a stupid competition. How can one artist be 'better' than another? Each creates her/his own vision and that's the end of it...and yet...of course...somewhere someone is currently pitting the whole 'classical' canon against anything done in the 20th century, I'm sure. Assuming, that is, that art is worth arguing over anymore. Even stupid arguments at least display a passion for art.
