Drawing/print: Brawl / A Handful Of Brussels / Odeon Cinema - no Joke(r)!

Brawl, RTomens, 2019

Our local Sainsbury's has got rid of all the plastic bags used to carry loose veg. Trouble is, they haven't replaced them with an alternative such as paper ones. So I spot an old lady standing over the Brussels sprouts, grabbing a handful, mumbling to herself. We have a moan about the situation, she waddles off, pushing her trolley with one hand, holding the sprouts with the other. Then I recall there were still bags for mushrooms so I grab a couple, track down the old dear and give one to her for the sprouts. My good deed for the day.

Saw Joker at the Odeon, Holloway Road, the other week. We don't usually go to the flicks, these days but, you know, the hype and all that (no, not just the hype because we're not ones to fall for it usually, the reviews and the preview swung it). It was a truly...er...staggering experience for the senses - yes it was! Mmm...smell the toilets in the corridors...hear the deafening trailers (BOOM - BOFF - ROAR!) forget waterboarding or drugs, this shit's enough to make me confess to anything! Finally, feel the sub-zero temperature from the air con - lovely! Thankfully the film, as you know, is great.
