RTomens, 2020 |
I frequently start the day with a drawing. Working before my brain has fully woken up is probably a good state of mind. Good, that is, unless whatever I'm doing requires intense concentration and, heaven forbid, deep thinking. I once read that writing, writing anything first thing in the morning is great for the creative mind. From experience, I can say it does help. It blows away the cobwebs. When I wrote more I used that tip. These days, drawing has a similar effect. Or used to, before 2020 rotted my brain, or is it mind? Rotted it with dark veins of despair which have tainted everything, pretty much. Perhaps I exaggerate, but whatever I've achieved creatively has been overshadowed by what the government has done to our society. Enough of that. Despite a shaky, uncertain start, I'm pleased with how this drawing turned out.
geometric art, drawing, inspiration, creative wake-up
